Update Kora

Kora checks for updates while the app is running. When a new version is available, the update window shows the version, release notes, download size, and the available installation actions.

Open Kora → Check for Updates… from the macOS menu bar, or click the version number in the Kora footer.

Button Action
Aggiorna automaticamente Download, install, and restart Kora from inside the app
Scarica ZIP Open the browser and download the manual installer
Annulla Close the window without installing

Select Non mostrare questo aggiornamento per questa versione before clicking Annulla if you do not want to see that release again. A manual check still shows it.

  1. Finish or stop any active agent turn.
  2. Confirm that Kora is running from /Applications/Kora.app.
  3. Click Aggiorna automaticamente.
  4. Wait for the progress bar to complete. Kora installs the signed update and restarts.

If the automatic action is unavailable or reports that only the ZIP is ready, use the manual method.

  1. Click Scarica ZIP.
  2. Open the downloaded archive.
  3. Double-click Install.command.
  4. Approve the macOS administrator prompt.
  5. Launch Kora from Applications.

Settings, sessions, and other data under ~/.kora/ remain in place with either method.

Open Settings → Terminal → Update Mode:

Mode Behavior
manual-zip Check periodically and show the update window
off Do not check automatically; manual checks remain available
  • Automatic update asks you to finish active work → wait for the current turn to finish or stop it, then retry.
  • Kora must be moved to Applications → quit the app, move it to /Applications/Kora.app, reopen it, and retry.
  • Only the ZIP option is available → download the ZIP and run Install.command; the automatic package for that release is not available.
  • macOS blocks Kora after the update → open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run xattr -cr /Applications/Kora.app.
